Friday, September 13, 2013....... I predicted this date last summer, and I am sticking to it!!!!!

Can we get anybody to make a donation toward the closest guess? Anyone at all? Maybe a bottle of dust, or a hat, or a rifle? Lol anything at all?

Monday morning !! Hey, it's worth a try right I wish hope so! But, I'll stick with my prediction: 26 August 2013. (Fingers crossed) |
|
As long as mine arrives May 2014 or later I'll have the funds allowing me to keep it. Ordered it 3/16/13
Fingers crossed...LOL! |
|
I heard from a guy that knows a guy who said that all tOBR's are going to ship with limited edition silver stackable Dillos, 5 Owner Edition hat's and a 24 count case of Dillo Dust.
|
|
My brother's best friend's dad said that the rifles will ship with a limited edition Mark LaRue action figure...so Costa has a play pal.
I'm lying.....I don't have a brother. |

I'm pretty sure the Costa and LaRue action figures would be in a fight right now. Just saying... I'm almost positive the rest of the Costa's aren't happening too. |

Well, I heard they are changing the design again. The new design features a digital stabilizing circuit that makes it shoot 0.25 MOA groups without match grade ammo or shooter skill. Just aim at anything out to 1,000 yards and it will do the rest for you. It's also all plastic so you can sneak it past metal detectors. And it has stealth technology so it doesn't show up on RADAR. They're working on the cloaking technology so it will be invisible to Democrats - so they won't ban it, of course. But there was a snag. They switched the red and blue wires making it invisible to those who are extremely right wing and lost the prototype.

Monday morning !! Hey, it's worth a try right That's what I've hoped for, for close to a year now. |

Paging Mark Larue for an answer!
I have $1,451.52 in the game paid for a lower and some parts that aren't put together and don't constitute a complete firearm if a ban would have happened. Also paid $56 in overnight shipping that was an up charge and a $29.99 firearm handling fee from a company who makes firearms. I feel nickel and dimmed, besides the fact I have been waiting patiently over a year for a rifle with 16 week estimated wait. People who ordered a PredatAR after I ordered have a rifle. All I want is an accurate estimate of when I and everyone else will get their rifle. |

Based on everything I've read on the issue so far I came to one viable solution, the test rifles were to be beaten to hell with round counts to exploit any potential flaws in the rifle. An experienced business man would do anything he could to ensure the company name lives on and holds value in the market. This is at least part of what is happening here. Take a look at U.S. Optics for instance, they make damn fine products but a few stories of hair in the reticle or a spec of dust have solidified in many people's mind that they are not worth buying for the potential problem the product might have. That alone is a learning experience for other companies and people just want their product to be top of its game when it is finally ready. That's all that is happening here.

I don't think testing is to blame for the delay. Even OBR and tAR orders aren't shipping out. I know a few were push out a little while ago, but then the spigot seemed to stop flowing. I have a tAR on order that I have been waiting on for almost a year. The only logical explanation I can come up with is a shortage of some kind relating to one or more critical parts that LaRue doesn't make in house. |
|
It has been way to long for me to think a part is not being made fast enough. no tobr's being shipped mean they are not being made. So why are they not being made?
Maybe the first design failed and they had to go back to the drawing board, then that design had issues preventing manufacturing. Putting out a flawed design would damage LTs reputation so I understand not doing it but keeping people with money on the table in the dark for a year is not going help either. I guess having people say "LT is good stuff but you will have to wait a year" is better then saying "remember that POS tobr LaRue used to make" |

I'm almost positive the rest of the Costa's aren't happening too. This. As Chris is now with KAC (since about October last year), there will be no more Costa Hybrids. |

I don't think larue will make any more costas either! I agree with seagrave and his partnership with KAC plus getting parts for all the costa predatobrs! |

I have been patiently waiting for ~350 days, and I will wait until it is delivered. I'm OK with that. I was charged full price when I received the
lower, $3,036.00, and I'm OK with that. What I'm not OK with is it will probably be released on July 23rd and I will be in Switzerland for the next 3 weeks just waiting to get home to send my lower back. That would suck. |

Fantasy to think they will be ready this summer, especially with my order number (450xx) |

Considering I had to trade down from the 35xxx range to the 45xxx range just to get an actual lower in my hot little hands (don't ask), we are in the same number range.... |

Considering how long I've been waiting, it's probably going to be a toss up....... BTW, I live just on the north side of the grapevine....

You've torn down such great potential... with a more than worthy post. But still, an awesome post. For the record, I did apologize and try to restart it with other rumors. How about we try again. I heard they're throwing in a free Schmidt & Bender scope and your choice of mount with each tOBR. The hold up is on S&B's end. |

People here say Larue makes a great firearm, but how do you know? Nobody seems to be able to get one, and larue apparently doesn't care. I think I'll just stick with my Colt. Ran 300rds through it today.

The reason has been alluded too in the past. Read more and post less
