I looked to see if there were any threads on this subject, and didn't see any, so I hope this isn't a repeat. A buddy of mine is looking to buy a red dot magnifier for his Aimpoint, and is interested in the Larue Po Boy Special. I'm looking for opinions on the overall quality and worth of this package. It seems like a great deal, I just want some feedback before recommending it to him. Thanks in advance for your help. |

It's 2.5X vs. 3X...but it does what it was built to do. Well worth the money. We've gotten a lot of great feedback about the Hensoldt. It's a good beginner's combo that provide you with a really nice pivot-mount when you're ready to upgrade to an Aimpoint 3X (if you ever do). Fingar |

Gr8- While I haven't run mine into the ground, I've shot it enough to know the 2.5x Hensoldt piece & mount work as advertised. Having just assembled a factory 3x magnifier & mount last night, I make the following observation: Not yet sure how much of a difference 0.5x will make in comparision to any actual or perceived weight / size differences. fwiw, Erick |
