I have a pre-sale OBR (serial LT04XX) since new and lately have been having extraction issues (double feeding) with factory ammo (as well as my reloads). Seems to eject fine when I single load, but when shooting from a full magazine it frequently will double feed and get jammed (2-3x per magazine). I'm thinking it is an extractor issue.
My extractor tooth looks fine. I was going to replace the extractor springs. The replacement springs are a two spring set (extractor spring) but mine only has one spring. Did I lose the inner spring at some point? Or was there a design change somewhere along the line (and if so will the double spring set fit in my bolt/extractor)? |

As I recall (been a month or so since I shot it) that the empty case was coming partially out and the bolt would go back and strip the next round and jam it up under the first (usually bending it). I reaserched it at the time (when the jam was fresher in my mind) and it seemed extractor problems would be the likely issue. The extractor letting go of the case too soon would make sense.
Using my LaRue mags, so they should be good to go. Granted did not notice if only happened with one or the other (seemed like anytime I magazine loaded). I guess double feed may be wrong term. There were two cases in the chamber, one fired and one unfired..... (not two unfired cartridges). |

Fail to eject, that makes more sense on suspecting the extractor.
On an empty mag will it lock back? If not, you're under gassed and that could be the issue. |

Always locks back on empty mag.
Most of my shooting was load develoopment so I was manually loadign with an empty mag in the well. Always locked back after I shot. I had a suppressor and the selector swithc was set to suppressor. (Specwar) |

Dropped bolt on round in chamber, but it was when firing ones loaded from the magazine that I had issues (stripped all the rounds including the first, from the mag)
ETA: round not fully chambered with fingers, just stuck the tip into the chamber and let bolt push it in |

Can't say much else without seeing the brass or actual malfunction. |
