Yep, just bought another NIB LE6920 today. No "C" (stamped or stenciled) on the carrier, the gas key is excessively staked, and to add insult to injury, no "C" on the extractor either. It looks like there is nothing that can be called "normal" for Colt anymore. Oh-well, other than those and a pretty creepy trigger everything else looks good. However, after receiving a Colt AR15A4 with the blued handguard Cap and now this it will probably be my last Colt.
I mean really, how do you release a rifle with blued end caps on so many customers rifles? That means the person who blued it should have noticed it was wrong, the assembler should have noticed it was wrong, and finally the QC inspector should have noticed it was wrong. Unfortunately, something is WRONG with Colt these days. When I called them about it I was told it was not blued, and was within MILSPEC standards!
PS / Edit: The Bolt does have "MPC" on it.
