| I have about a 3 year old micro dot, when I got the dot I noticed that the lenses had kind of a green tint to them. Basically when I look through the optic the object is darker with a green gray tint, is this normal? I noticed this when I purchased the optic and since the purchase about the only thing I have done with it was punch paper until last weekend when I was chasing some Jack Rabbits around. The dark color made it hard to get on target and I don't like it. I just got done swapping the dot out for an old 2.5 x 7 scope for this weekend. Both my PA 30mm dot and 3x compact are clear and when looking through them its not darker. |

I would think something with a bigger window would be better for fastmoving bunny. Like Eotech or a BSA or Leatherwood with 50mm lenses. |

The primary problem with this optic is its not clear, there is a green gray tint to the lense. |

All red dots including Aimpoint have a tint. You see that post all the time with first time users. We have improved the coating to be less noticeable in the newer generations. Holographic sights (Eotech) have no tint. So is the tint on the older Micros darker then the tint on your older 30mm red dots, I have one of them I purchased before the micro, or is it the 30mm has a bigger objective so the tint is not as noticable? I'm not hammering on the optic as I have the 30mm and the 3x compact which are great optics and I do like the micro I'm just wondering if the micro is supposed to be darker. When a Jack would jump and start running I would shoulder the weapon and see the Jack in the optic but it was hard to tell what was sage and what was jack some times due to the darkness of the micro. If nothing else I will put the micro on a shotgun for Turkey. |

I think the micro will find its way to my turkey gun. |
