Just got a gen 7 microdot.  I already have the earlier one (PA-02)  I intended to purchase the sight base for them.  Unfortunately, both of these have mounts that are part of the optic and cannot be removed.  I found on Amazon a three slot high profile riser that puts the dot just where I want it.  It lifts the sight about one inch.   I am not sure if it would co-witness with a front sight, as this rifle uses a low profile gas block.  Just thought if someone needed another option.

If this is on a AR let'e swap it for one of the removable base ones with a riser

Thanks, but I believe it is going to work out for me.  I shall use the Gen7 on my AK74 with the Ultimak rail.  The Gen 2 will work well with the cheap riser on my AR.  Thanks for the great customer service!
