Just a thought... but I bet the MOE handguards would stand up to mounting keymod accs. Maybe I'll fire up the drill press and see what happens. We don't comment on products that might be in development but we will do make comments on industry developments when they concern our products. In our view Key Mod is not really suitable as a polymer mount surface due to the conical nut used to secure the accessory in place. On metal a conical screw tightens down on the metal securely . On a plastic surface the conical screw will either promote cracking or loosening due to creep of the material. Very early MIAD grips used a conical screw and we discontinued using them after being shown they are not suitable for this application by one of our engineers. |
