I have to admit I have always been a shotgun guy. I personally think 12g is god's greatest invention. That said I have always liked rifles but shied away from EBRs for a long time mainly due to CAs shitastic policies and laws about them. About a year and a half ago I got into the whole "black rifle" mania and built up a couple of lowers and got lots of parts some good, lots bad. Now that has really died down as I am taking to hunting pretty hard and enjoying it a lot. I see no reason to go apeshit trying to find the latest and greatest AR candy anymore.
(Stay with me, I am going somewhere good
)
Basically all that is saying that I know what I want and need, this has 2 parts.
1) I am only going to buy LaRue accessories from now on, one and done right? My current stable of Aimpoint mount and carbine clips are doing great and why mess with perfection. Up next will be a scope mount and some other stuff, but make no mistake is will be LaRue!
2)The LaRue 18" PredatAR . Able to handle my wants for class carbine, hunting carbine, bench-rest "precision" carbine all in one good package. I have my first little one on the way and I need to start prioritizing my purchases and need to drop money on a gun that my little one will be able to keep once I am old and gray (which means ML needs to live to be 150 years old
) so that the customer service continues.
The first will be easier and the second will take a while but it will be worth it. I know I don't post much, GD is a nightmare, and I am not a team member yet, this is going to be a while longer with the little one on the way, but I am a pack member through and through. Just going to take a bit longer get that brass ring.
I am already looking forward to that first range trip with the little one. And don't make any mistake their first shot above a .22 will be on a Larue.
