Steve, I've seen the picture of the "Elite Comp" for 2008. I'm looking to purchase just the complete upper. I've had a RRA lower with "US PROPERTY" markings squirreled away for over a year now, and looking to build it out using the "Elite Comp" upper. So when will these be available?? Another quick question. What BUIS are you using on that upper?? Thanks in advance, Nevadasun |

It isn't available specifically as an Elite Comp upper half (yet...I expect to create a number, pricing, etc...for it within a month or so), but is certainly "doable" as a Mid A4 Upper Half, with the substitutions of the new RRA Half Quad hand guard, RRA flip front sight/gas block assembly, and RRA Tactical Brake. We're running the PAD rear sight on it. Steve/RRA |

I have been looking on the RR site and I really like the LAR-15 Elite Comp. The problem that I have is that the only thing that I have to compare it to is a Entry Tactical. My brother has the Entry Tactical and I have shot it and know what it feels like. Besides the obvious things like the stock and handguard what are some other differences in these two rifles? Would it be cheaper to buy the Entry Tactical and "dress" it up as close as possible to the Elite Comp or am I comparing apples to oranges? The bottom line is that I like the Elite Comp, but if I can buy a Entry Tactical and dress it up close to a Elite Comp then I might go that route. Thanks |

The Elite Comp is a mid-length carbine...the gas port and everything associated with it is 2" further forward on the 16" barrel than it is on the CAR-length Entry Tactical. You could get close to the Elite Comp "look" on a CAR-length, but won't be able to recreate it as the RRA Half Quad isn't available in CAR-length. Steve/RRA |
