Saw a used Colt in the shop today that I didn't recognize. Was told it was all factory but it doesn't look right to me. Wondered if any of you could help verify. I searched the net but couldn't answer my question.
Anyone familiar with Colt producing a factory (or Custom Shop for that matter) offering with the following... pardon my half-a**ed description as I didn't look all that close while I was there. Lower was marked Colt HBAR .223. Flat top upper (didn't look for forge marks but nothing obvious Colt) Hogue grip and round free float tube. Choate E2 stock with hook. Barrel was a "big" bull type (probably an inch at the muzzle) marked MP 1:8" .223 (seemed about 20"). No other markings visible or that I remember on barrel or receivers. And last, it had a silver trigger that looked like a McCormick but I am not sure. Didn't open it up to check internals. Anyone recognize the model? I'd like to research it...asking price was $1050.00. |
