I just received my Chrome Silicone Spring from Larue. It is a little longer than the stock spring in my M4gery. Is it ok to use in a carbine?

Don't tell anyone this, but I use a rifle length spring in my carbine (slowing down the action while suppressed).  Ive got 500 rounds through the gun with 0 problems.

So using this it will slow down the fire rate in my Carbine?

It's an M4 length, and is supposed to be that long (for that manufacturer and design). It'll compress a bit over time.
