The RBAVs (I believe that's the rig) are an absolutely sweet system. Basically a CIRAS with all the 'suck' upgraded out of it. I believe that was Matt Johnson's first project upon joining BAE Eclipse.
I am wondering, and bearing in mind the "train as you fight" really doesn't fully apply to civilians in the classes, but as difficulty increases in Carbine II how recommended is it to be wearing hard armor (LVL 3 + soft armor or Level 4 stand alone plates)?
It seems like a 70/30 mix for most of the students in the class (based on photos and the dvds). Obviously all steps are taken to minimize risks, but I've heard of fragments coming back off steel plates and what not.
