I have a Vortex HD on another rifle and liked it so much I bought one for my tOBR. It arrived yesterday; I mounted it on an Lt104 and headed to the range today.
Shooting at 100 yards and I was everywhere, no luv with 62gr, 69gr, 75gr or 77gr, and despite doing well today with the .308 bolt gun. Here's the crow pic to give a feel of how things were going, and this is pretty good for spread considering some other groups:
When I installed the scope, I thought there might be a downward cant to the horizontal reticle but wrote it off as just old eyes. After shooting today and having such poor groups, I measured the reticles against known level and there's an issue, looks like there's a 2 degree down bubble on the dive planes, maybe I can figure out how to get a picture if I can. Considering the other grouping problems, there could also be other issues. Time to test Vortex CS, but I hear they're almost as good as LaRue.
