My dad ordered me three things from LT for Christmas, one of which is backordered for a couple of weeks.   No biggie.  The other items didn't ship though they were apparently in stock, as there was no mention of them being out of stock.

Is it SOP at Larue for orders containing a backordered item to be held until all items are available, instead of shipping what's in-stock immediately and sending the other later?

Just curious.

Typically what's in stock ships shortly after the order is placed . There is still no active inventory for their website. I don't understand why but it's been that way for ever.

Typically, they ship as they get them in stock.  That way, you might get goodies in each box

You can write them an email requesting they ahip the other items. You will have to pay shipping twice though.

Thanks everyone.  I just wasn't sure how they handled things.  Everything I've ordered from them in the past (other than my rifle) was in-stock.

I've never had to pay for shipping twice.  Normally instock items get shipped right away, back ordered items get shipped as they get them.
