Both, thats takes talent and a dialed in gun.
And with that scope you can clearly see even a group that small develop. (while I have nightforce on all my stuff I cant question the taste of anyone who puts S&B on their guns). Good to see great accuracy out of factory ammo too (albeit pricey factory, federal gold) |
|
Wow. That's impressive for ANY rifle, much less a semi-auto rifle!
Keep up the good work |
|
WOW!
They must be OUTSTANDING Shots... To correct for all of the inherent accuracy problems with the OBR. Just Kidding! This was obviously 2 great shooters with a great rifle. Thanks for sharing this with us Mark. |

Uh Mark, when will that be, by the way. |

That is awesome! I wish I could afford to shoot .308/7.62 NATO.

Port Selector AAR ...
2,000+ rounds (without cleaning) and user indexed selector over with the tip of an ink pen. |

Damn. Makes me REALLY wish my OBR was here to take down to S. Texas hunting next week.....Guess I'll just have to stick to my bolt gun....FOR NOW!

They don't do it in-house. You can have it sent to your FFL and from there to a gunsmith to have the brake taken care of before you bring it home. |
|
What are you gonna do for mags? You may have to send it to ADCO first before you send it to your FFL.

The OBR can take the DPMS and CProducts 10 round mag if you can't take home the 20 round factory mags. I'm sending mine to an FFL that has a gunsmith. |

Beautiful! I can't wait to shoot one of these, I'm completely sold on the 16".
And page 2 since it's just sitting here. |

OSR, OBR Mark can call it whatever he wants as long as he starts shipping the 20" guns as far as I'm concerned.
I just wish we could get some indication where they are with that. |

The official MODEL name is LT-762 (BATFE MODEL listing)Besides, Mark Larue makes the rifle ; he can call it applebutter if he wants. You might want to read who posted what before you start playing grammar teacher |

You can see that I'm having a hard time transitioning to O-B-R ...

It was directed to him as a joke not so you can come to his rescue. PS: You didn't capitalize the "R" in LaRue Since I'm playing grammar teacher and all. I'm just saying. |

OK - enough with this OSR/OBR stuff....let's call it what it really is: the LTD™ - LaRue Tack Driver.
(Feel free to send me any royalties in the form of a 16", or some bitchin' swag.) |

It can't be the LTD, I hear a certain competitor's CEO is a LifeTimeDick and is trademarked as such.

Seeing results like this make me positive that I made the right decision in ordering an 18" OBR before the price hike. The next 6 months before I return CONUS are going to suck however. I am looking forward to getting back home and getting this baby in. I'm most likely going to rob the NXS 8-32 optic off my MK 14 MOD 1 clone that I put together last year. I'll have to come up with something to put back on there. I'm sure I can get an LT mount for the OBR to replace the LT-608 I have the NF in now.
Awesome groups. Drooling from Downrange! |

Quoted: Port Selector AAR ... 2,000+ rounds (without cleaning) and user indexed selector over with the tip of an ink pen. OK, I'm a FNG and not understanding this. Does that mean I can put 2k + rounds through an OBR and not have to clean it?? I'm going to save up for one!! |
|
Wouldnt be surprised, I know of a carbine class instructor who does NOT clean his guns (BCM\LWRC\Colt), we're talking 10k, 15k or more before they stop running and have to be de-gunked.
I'm sure Larue guns would also still run not being cleaned, accuracy would take a hit though. |

Sunday Morning Bump for the .285 group and this thread over Here
|
|
That's impressive. From the thread title, I was expecting 3-shot (Texas Sharpshooter) groups (no offense to the great state of Texas or its sharpshooters intended). I am surprised they shot that well with what looks like 10 rounds. The group is so small, it's hard to say how many are there, but it sure ain't just three or five.
Nice. |

Its 5, says so right in the groups. Better than great groups, I'd have to be lucky that day to duplicate, but I'm still waiting for some great *10* shot groups which are alot harder to shoot. Hopefully Mark comes through with my OBR in the next few weeks as he seems to be indicating should happen. I'll be sure to post mine so at least we have a starting point (or something to laugh at..we'll see) I dont shoot 5 shot groups, actually I've stopped shooting groups period unless I'm working up a new load and instead do 1" circles now, but for the OBR breakin..I'll make an exception ) |
