I received my new order of H130s and it looks like they've updated the box design. All specs and MVs are the same.
Brake, brake... My .260 has a 7.62 brake, and with the thought that Mark doesn't do anything without a reason, when I saw he released the 6.5Gs with a 260 (6.5) brake, I (any you'all) know I had to get one.  I bartered for these, which arrived today.
It looks like the length is the same, but obviously the opening is smaller, it looks like the baffle section is just a few hundredths smaller and it has a ninth outer thread whereas the 7.62 only has eight threads. I heated up the 7.62 brake and removed it, then cleaned the muzzle and new brake, rocksetted it and I'll take it out tomorrow knowing it will take my 0.75moa rifle and turn her into a 0.25moa tack driver!  Seriously though, I am going to put some rounds out to see if there's a POI change (including suppressed) and resight it so I can head to Quantico next week with some handloads.

Here's two short videos from last weekend at Quantico's 1,000 yard line. I had finished up and was waiting for other shooters when a guy started to shoot his M1A. It was clear and calm and I was capturing the report of the weapon, but also the impact on the berm down range and the return report.
The first is a shooter with a M1A a the top left of the screen and it runs almost a minute. The second is a centerfire (not sure of caliber) and the M1A. Both taken with the iPotato. |

UPDATES IN RED
Once we get 7 people and details / payment needed, I'll move to PMs. Here's where we're at: 1. Accuracy 1st Long Range 2 Class. 2. 3-day course scheduled, M-W, 27-29 November, 2017, at the Austin Gun Club. 3. Cost will be $1050 for the 3-days, plus any transportation costs, lodging and food. I'm sure we can double up, share cars, eat only Spam and expired MREs, etc. 4. Instructor will be Pete Gould, who is Todd's lead instructor. 5. Course is limited to 7 people, we may be able to go to 8, but for now, it's 7 people. 6. From the Accuracy 1st site - "Refund & Cancellation Policy: There will be no charge for rescheduling your class to a different date (where available). For cancellations a 10% charge will be incurred, if it is less than 2 weeks prior to class, there will be a 50% charge." I DO NOT know the policy for a special class, but we can start with their standard policy. 7. Bring any rifle you're comfortable shooting. You'll need at least 160rds and maybe more for the 3rd day; I'll update when determined. 8. I do not have any lodging or local transportation information, yet. I believe we have the following people committed: UPDATE - MIKE HAD TO DROP DUE TO MILITARY RESPONSIBILITIES, WE NEED 4 MORE PEOPLE. 1. D3. 2. dHUTCH. 3. Mettee. 4. OPEN 5. OPEN. 6. OPEN. 7. OPEN. 8. TBD if needed. Here's the Order of March: 1. I'll run this through today to see if we can coax a person or two from the thread to commit. 2. Then, I'll put it in the TX hometown forum to see if I can get a few more folks. Let me know your thoughts on dropping the course to 2-days. Money is always tight and around Christmas can be tough. Maybe a 2-day course will get us the people we need. Flip side is if that then causes anyone to drop. |

Finally took the 260 out. Was only able to go to 100 yard range but got it all zero'd. Brass ejected consistently to 3:30 (is that good?). Groups weren't amazing but that's all my fault, it was blowing sideways and I couldn't keep the rifle stable (ignore that bottom group, I had to resecure the target stand midway through). I don't know anything about pressure signs but here's a picture of the brass. My buddy with the chrono is out of town so no data yet, plus I wanted to put some rounds through it before I check that MVs anyway. |

So, you're pressure is GTG. |

As for the 1 or 2 o'clock ejection suppressed some of us have been seeing.. is that that big of a deal ? I am kind of the mind if the rifle is not jamming I kinda don't care where the brass lands. And I am not reoading so the condition of the brass dose not bother me.. as of now .. |

I'm surprised the ballistics are so similar in these two rounds (I have an 18" .260 barrel). Out to 500 they're within .15 or so mils of drop and then the .260 slowly starts to pull away. The wind drift is basically identical out to 1000. I'm using 4DOF with a 10mph wind, 260@2550 and 65G@2480. Estimated numbers from the threads here, I haven't personally chrono'd either yet. |
