It was not a discussion of ideas, it was more a discussion of rules of order !!!
the meeting was conducted that way DELIBERATELY in order to ofuscate the facts.
the aerial map was drawn IN corecetly for the same reason.
My question is now that that the land swap deal is dead does this stop the 1000 yrd. range idea PERMANENTLY or will the 1000 yrd. continue and hope for ther best when it comes to a buffer in the future?
this is why i said that we won the "battle"...but i suspect the war will continue! we must remain on guard against orpa and be very watchful of our trustees and president. they will stop at nothing to get their way!
i trust most of them no farther than i could throw them.
i strongly suspect that both the 1000-yard range AND the orpa incursion will be back to haunt us.
my opinion is that if orpa loves our range so damn much...why the hell don't they just join up as members? no man is above the next, in my book.
I was there as well, I've never seen so much confusion at one time...The roberts rules of order was making my head hurt, a nice try at confusing the membership. I'm glad to say it didn't work.
amen! the only reason the pro-orpa guys got there paltry 70+ votes was because they packed the joint with ringers. if the entire membership was involved an aware of what was going down, the vote would have been 800 to 100.
And if any ORPA guys are reading this....Go find another club to try to buy your way into, you're not buying into Tusco!!!
again...amen! i have NOTHING against orpa, but if they want to shoot here, let them join and shoot AS regular members WITH regular members.
now, i'll not be surprised if the morons threaten us with range closings, caliber limitations or other such drivel in the upcoming weeks!
did anyone hear of carman and hobart made it as trustees?
i think it's time to elect a new board and new prez, myself.
