Snowbowl should be only 2 hours from Mesa, depending on how fast you drive, and how traffic is.

Dude, this is Arizona, we don't have any of that white stuff (the cold white stuff that is, I'm sure you could find plenty of the other white stuff coming across the border).

With snowbowl being right by NAU, hope you like standing in line waiting to get on the lift. Plus, the runs are rather short as well. Take the extra trip to Sunrise. Well worth the exta time, not nearly as crowded.

The snow at Sunrise is more reliable as they have snowmaking. I understand that Snowbowl will be installing snowmaking also, but not sure if it will be there for this season. Sunrise is marginally better, but about twice the distance from Mesa. If you have young kids, Sunrise has all-day childcare.
