I am a resident of PA(have driver lic. from PA) and may have to move to NJ early next year.

I own two 9mm semiauto pistols, a 22rimfire semi pistol, Yugo SKS & Bushie XM15.

If I change residency to NJ, then what happens to my guns? Are they contraband? Will I have to register them? Am I allowed to own them?

On top of that, will my bushie have to be made back into a "post ban"?

I'm kind of confused about NJ laws after reading them. If a new resident owns guns(including preban/noban items after 9/14/04), am I allowed to keep them?

help needed to understand possible scenarios

If at all possible, STAY OUTTA THIS HELLHOLE!!!

I'm loking to do the opposite and move to PA. The laws are extremely confusing and we are standing by on the info for whether or not the State Police have just banned any mags over 15rds whether they are blocked or not. If true, that will make a lot of great guys into instant criminals

If you need to work here, then stay in PA and commute!

Yes your Bushy must comply with post ban regulations. The rest of your firearms will be OK.

You don't have to register your guns, as people seem to believe, BUT I would carry copies of your sales reciepts for them.

You can register if you wish to do so (I wouldn't).

No pistol mags over 15 rounds

The AR has to meet Jersey requirements:

No mags over 15 rounds
No colapsable stocks
No flash suppressors
No Bayonett lug.

Just to name the few things off the top of my head.

If you can, stay in PA and cross over to NJ for work. This state is ASS backwards and will take years to even turn it around in the right direction. People are trying to do so but it is going to take a LOOOONG time.
