Just left the show.  Personally a waste of money unless you in the market for jewelry, shoes, knives or junk. Not many guns.

Sorry to hear that. I guess I'll find something else to do. Thanks for the info.

Not to mention $11 to get in the door(evidently there is a $1 off coupon somewhere floating around), no military or public service discount like EVERY other show in town(not that I expect it, but nice).  It was so crowded it took 45 minutes to walk down the 6 aisles they had set up.  Prices to me seemed a little on the high side even though I have no problem paying a little more on items that you usually have to order online + shipping.  To me the main ingredient to a gun show is GUNS and there just wasnt a whole lot there.

Worst show ever.....

11 Bucks to get in, eh, not really bitchin about that....

WAY TOO Crowded....   Luckily I'm a tad over 6'4"....  Seriously took like 45 minutes to get down one aisle and other than lookin over your the dudes shoulder in front of me, you could hardly get close to a table to see stuff up close...

There was a Black Rain Ordnance Table there, but they had mostly non Black Rain Uppers and Lowers, could not figure that one out...

Best thing about the show, in my opinion was one table had a shit ton of Pmags all colors, widows, no windows, 20, 30 rounders, the Black No windows ones were 13.95ea, (which is usually the cheapest I've seen them for online and in stock for)  and at the show, I get them on the spot, no tax or shipping...    I picked up a few...  I have a weakness for extra Magazines...

Got sepperated from my father in law who drove separate, who called me after an hour of looking for me and said he was outside and leaving...  Never heard the man cuss till today...

I said, OK see ya, then went and toured Bass Pro and Cabelas since I was out that way...

I will not be going back to that show again.  WAY Too Crowded for way too little stuff of interest too me...

Forgot to mention,  I think I saw one of yous....  Guy had on an Olive Drabish colored T, that had a big Black BFL on the back and a smaller one on the front...  Did not look like any of the ones I've seen before.... I said Nice ARFcom shirt like twice, but either he did not hear me, or ignored me...

Can individuals walk around these shows with their own gun for sale?
Link Posted: 1/29/2011 1:55:43 PM EDT
[#12]
Yes they can.  Just got to check them in with the deputies at the front door.

$11. That saves a trip for me, there can't possibly be anything there that I need to pay that much to see.

Had it been a decent gun show, I'd really have no problems with the 11 bucks... I and the wife have certianlly wasted more on less... For me, it was the less vendors than I had orignally heard and Mostly the fact that everyone was sp crowded in there worse than some cattle or chicken processing plants...

The building really gives you the impression its going to be huge, but actually floor space is fairly small...

I think there was alot more usable at the St. Charles Convention center and it was much easyier to walk around and look at stuff, even if they didn't have anything you were interested in or it was overpriced, atleast you could see and maybe haggle a bit...  After much llooking, I've actually found several deals at that show...  Nothing to jump up and down about but a few things..

I just tried to got to http://metcalfgunshows.com/ and drop them an email telling them that was without a doubt the worst gun show ever and that alot of us would not be back....  But, I got

Bandwidth Limit Exceeded

The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to the site owner reaching his/her bandwidth limit. Please try again later

Seems like they need more bandwidth for their site and shows....

I'll try again later...

That show was a letdown unless you were looking for jerky and costume jewelry the only thing it lacked was beanie babies.

A couple vendors had a good supply of ammo. I got 1k 223 American eagle and 1k Americna Eagle 9mm for 475 OTD. I thought that was pretty good....

Why?

All guns going through the front door get checked for "NOT A LOADED FIREARM" and a plastic tie

And I hope we don't go thru all the comments we all did last time about guns going in the front

That's 1k .223 and 1k 9mm for $475?  Smokin' deal !

I saw these posts and some of us here at the house came down with colds, so I decided to wait until the next show to try and peddle my PT92.

It's been more than 10 years since I've been to one of these things, and if it wasn't for wanting to get this pistol in front of a bunch of folks at once, I wouldn't even be considering it.

Yes, 475. I think the listed price 310 for the 223 and 210 for the 9mm. They ere getting ready to pack up so I offered him 475. He even took it out to my truck on a dolly for me

Man, that is just smokin'!

I thought $300 for 1k of .223 at Natchez and $250 for 1200ea of 9mm at Cabela's was good...

Huh... page 2 ownage.
