Back in Uncle Sam's Yacht Club, I found that eating freeze-dried fruit (dry, not reconstituted) from an MRE soaked up all the blecch.  Dry, uncooked ramen noodles had a similiar effect.  This was primarily for seasickness, however in Yokosuka, Japan it constantly got drunk out.
