Heard it on the scanner...
Was on 119th SE Lake Stevens area... They call for air lift and then canceled... Sounds like two are dead but they have got quite on the radio... |

I just called the Everett Herald newsroom. They are all over it with reporters on the way but they don't have any details. We'll see. Weed spray? Duct tape and Zip ties? We will just have to wait and see. |

At this time I don't know who or what... All I know that Medic was performing CPR... Called for airlift... then canceled the airlift. Shortly after that Medic 81 was "cleared" the seen.
Then a call to all of the SnoHo POPOs brass went out. Also head on the radio that "they didn't say they where going to shoot" Guess we Will find out tomorrow? |

Murder-suicide in Lake Stevens 05:11 PM PDT on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 By ROB PIERCY / KING 5 News LAKE STEVENS, Wash. - Police say a murder-suicide was carried out right in front of a Snohomish County in-home day care Wednesday afternoon. The shooting happened in a cul-de-sac in the 300 block of 119th Drive Southeast. At about 1:30 p.m., deputies say someone in the neighborhood called 911 to report an argument between a man and a woman. Just as a responding deputy rounded the corner, the shots went off. "She heard several gunshots and then she saw one person fall to the ground," said Snohomish County sheriff's spokesperson Rebecca Hover. When the deputy pulled up in front of the home, she found a man and a woman dead. Detectives believe the man was the shooter and that the woman lived in a nearby home. None of the kids at the day care were hurt. An aid car drove them from the day care to their waiting parents. "I'm just glad they're OK. They're safe. Nothing happened to them and I'm glad they're both in my hands now," said parent Junior Villalobos. Link |

At least the kids at the daycare are safe. It was a close call for them. This is the exact reason why no one should own a gun within two miles of a day care center, school, or bus stop. We need to double the possible range of firearms to ensure a safe distance, and ban all guns within those zones.

A follow-up article in today's Everett Herald says "detectives recovered a handgun at the scene." What????? No ultra deadly AK-47???? It can't be! ....way to report the facts Everett Herald! ......... buncha tools. |
