Bullet Trap in Plano at Parker and K ave. used to be 100.
I think they raised it to 120 now for the first time and 80 if you are renewing it. |

Lone Star Guns was $69 when I took it, then they went up to around $75 before they burned. You might see if you can find out where their instructor(s) went. Bob Wieland (I think that's his name) did my class.

Collin County Gun Range is $125 1st time, $75 for a renewal. They do it all in one day, and as far as I can tell, they know the law correctly, which a lot seem to not be able to do. Instructors are Caesar the Lt/Act Chief from Celina, and Phil the co-owner.

Larry Bartek's a good guy to take the course from. He's a SWAT instructor with Plano, and I think we paid $100 for the class. Qualified at Backwoods. Cool guy.

i normally charge $100 for full class, $75 recertification.
however for AR15.commers i will now take $20 off the price, making it $80 for the full class and $55 for recertification. i am located in North Austin. if interested email me at my email address: [email protected]. im planning on holding a full class Mon and Tues nights 10/10 and 10/11, (5 hr/5 hr), or the full class Tuesday 10/11 (basically everything the night guys did on 10/10 you would do Tues. morning 10/11 and then we'd meet them at the range and go from there). I go with ON TARGET FIREARMS TRAINING ACADEMY, INC in FT Worth 99.95 first time and 75.00 renew....................I was just there this passed SAT for my second renewal and am happy with them. I personally like to deal with people that dot the I's and cross the T's; moreover , the total package is done right the first time ( one stop shopping).

Check with the Terrell PD. they were offering the classes for 10.00, but I am not sure if they are still doing it. some of the locals got bent about taxpayer money being used to subsidize the course.
