Eh...it is not all the way down.  The top fell off long ago.

This storm has been pretty ruff on the coast though.

My father and sister live in Seaside and I guess they have been without power since yesterday and they are not going to try and fix it till tomorrow.  No phones are working unless you have some way of charging a cell.

Both ways into town are closed because of flooding and fallen trees.

So, not Death Storm '07, but still a big mess. Now that everything is flooded and saturated, it doesn't take as much wind to knock a tree over.

The coast is a mess, Vernonia is fuxored ( sorry Pat!! ) but, I'd hardly call it the storm of the century....

I had fun with the flood driving.....actually....I wasn't sure if I'd make it through one spot, where I was shooting the vid......It slowed me down pretty good, had to gun it a little near the end where it was deepest.

Yah, now it's a 75' tall stick in the mud.

I enjoyed taking my kids to see that.

We drove to Longbeach yesterday, via Seaside, to board up the windows of my buddies beach front home.

It was intense, trees snapped off 30' up, trees down, limbs airborne.  Saw a Suzuki Grand Vitara on it's top in a big ditch.

Longbeach was pretty much dark from Docs tavern north.

It's a damned shame that it was not full of treehuggers when it fell.
