Alrighty so the wifey is not a fan of Hooter's type of places where the wait staff is more exposed. Now I gotta be honest I want to go here and think she would enjoy the crap out of the food but I think if we go there and she is freaked out by half dressed hotties I wont hear the last of it.
What say you guys are the wait staff dressed like wenches or what? |

Quoted: I love the Vortex. Go to the one with the big mouth over the doorway. I like that one better. I don't recall the wait staff wearing anything skimpy. They seemed to be dressed like regualr people. You weren't paying to much attention then. While they are considered I guess a little skimpy but oh well, its not like they are dressed like strippers. Go to the one in little five points. You cannot miss it. Good drinks and awesome food. I have been to the one in downtown ATL but did not like it as much. On a side note if you park next to the vortex behind the liquor store there is usually a parking attendant that wants you to pay after you leave. Just drive around the other side of the building and you will not have to worry about it. |

Take her to Anns Snack Shack and not only will there NOT be any skimpy dressed waitresses, the burgers there have been voted some of the best in the world.(yes the world) Thw Wall Street Journal said Ann's had the Best Burger in America. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ann's_Snack_Bar |

The Vortex in Little Five Points is definitely the better of the two and not by a little and it also has a much better beer and booze selection than Hooters. Having said that, please either take your nads off the jar on the mantle and re-attach them if Hooters is what 'ya really want or turn in your man card |

Vortex is good stuff. If you go to Ann's, expect two things, SLOW service, and a verbal smackdown that she WILL give to anyone that gets smart. I have seen it personally. Oh, and the freaking Ghetto burger freaking rocks! |
| Me and my wife went to the Vortex at little 5 in december for our Anniversary. The food was awesome, really awesome. The waitresses were less to be desired. Their website made it out like they had the hottest waitresses. There wasn't one in there that I would have banged if I was single with a few drinks in me. Just saying. They weren't skimpy dressed either. I think they all had jeans and tshirts on if I remember correctly. |

Go to the one in Little 5 and have a good time. Some of the wait staff are good looking some not so much (and some are dudes) but they are all cool. Sit on the patio and enjoy the day.
Oh and if they do charge you for parking (which they are not suppose to do if you are going to the Vortex) save you receipt and get you parking money back. If you spend money in L5P they don't charge you for parking. |

vortex is crap. hate that food. go to front page news, it's not to much further. Jeep, Has FP News gotten back on their game again? We were going there a lot, especially over the last few summers when I would be in-town to sit outside and eat and the quality of the food seemed to be going into a slow decline until finally they could not even get the most basic stuff right. |

I live one block south of the Midtown Vortex, its not in downtown. And the distinction is crucial; trust me.
Its been a while since i've been to the little 5-points one but if i recall their waitresses aren't "skimpy." The one in midtown isn't like that at all. Also, whatever you do DO NOT SAY AGAIN DO NOT go to Miss Ann's. I went there with my buddy after the best burger in the world article thing came out. Now i don't care about shitty service or atmosphere but this was crazy. The burger is not special in terms of flavor its just retarded. We both had Ghetto burgers, i couldn't finish mine, my buddy did. It made no difference we both puked later that day. Flip burger is good, but its just not the vortex. As far as food you can't go wrong with either of them. Be advised parking for the midtown one is tough and the building its in is under construction so theres the NYC scaffolding deal which is rare to see here. |
| Skip all that noise and go to West Egg. PB&J burger is the best, two patties, pimento cheese, bacon, and a tomato jam spread. Make sure to order the fries with it, I know it's lame that fries are extra but its way worth it. Also its not as expensive as The Vortex or Flip (which I find to be way over priced, yeah the burgers are good but they are small burgers and also don't include fries). Plus all the wait staff wears normal clothing so the wife ought to be fine with it. Wet Egg, as of a couple weeks ago, still had the Red Brick Double Chocolate Oatmeal Porter on tap. I'm not a fan of chocolate beers, or porters for that matter, and I really liked that beer. |
