This is a pic of Tony's FR8 in an ATI? stock  One of the G17 and the bubits stock attached.  This one was taken at a Military skill's compitition that the US army ran before they left.  Nice pics. Matt |

Hiya @ all,
First & foremost a big thanks to Matt for his help. The FR8 is a Spanish Bolt action rifle, that has a Mauser 98 system, the only thing is that it is in .308 win. I bought the rifle about 8 years ago, took it to the range once in its original stock and didnt really enjoy myself. So it resided in my gun safe for about 5 years before i got that ATI stock for it. After I put it in that stock. Wooooooooooowwwwwwww. I did a trigger job (polished it with the dremmel) and low and behold the kindergarten sniper rifle was born. I shoots really well to, the muzzle flash is awesome. The G17 has a 31 rnd mag with a 2rnd extender to save excessive pressure on the mag spring. The mags in the stock are 17rnd mags with 2rnd extenders. I hope that you like the piccys. Tony PS. Posted some more @ toemag.bebo.com |

Just got back from the range, I'd had to rezero the FR8 as I'd stripped it down to clean and check it out, for any problems. I am now getting just a lil frustrated (aerghhhhhhhhhh). I posted it there where you said and copy pasted the url link and it still didnt want to play (aerghhhhhhh). When you want to post a pic..
Click reply.... Click on the little "yellow square with mountains in it below" next to the globe/paperclip icon. then right click and paste you image url/adress there (assuming you copied it from it's location..ie hunt101) Taffy |

So, that was with the kindergarten sniper rifle. The FR8 in .308 win. Sellier & Bellot 147grs super cheapos (the 50 round box), at 100m on the underground range. I had the stock resting on a sand bag as usuall (learned that from one of my US mates, Vietnam Vet) and the haris bipod.
I bore sighted the rifle first so that i could save ammo, then used 3 rounds on another target to get the zero in the right place (in the black). The next four rounds to get it in the White (middle), then pulled the target back to plaster the holes, and noticed that the bloke one lane over had put one of his in the 6 ring at 11 oclock. Pasted the one in the ten ring and checked zero, there are four in the middle and one that i pulled nudging the 9 at 1 oclock. Had a blast. Tony |

I dont cheat with my shooting as someone once told me,''yer only cheatin tha self, ya pillock''. That Skill at arms instructor didnt mince his words, and was even known to dish out some corporall punishment, which was strange him being a SSGT.

I'll agree with that, dont really use it all that much in my handguns. I like the fiocchi or winchester pmc umc and just about everything, i do buy the 250 S&B in 9mm now abd then though, my G17 dont really like it much.
How do the Sabres like the 140 round boxes of .223? Tony |
