I can still remember packing her mother in the car that faithful morning at about 5:00AM and barreling down the road at 90mph heading to the hospital.

Watching her grow and change the last 8 years has been a long strange trip indeed but I wouldn't change it for the world.

Being a daddy to my kids is my no. 1 job and by far the hardest and most enjoyable task I've ever tackled.

Typing this post and thinking about the trial to come in the next 8 years is making me a little emotional. You can revoke my man card if applicable.

I know too many fathers who don't think this way

Nonsense. As the father of an 8 year old, I understand completely.

Happy Birthday to your little girl

And if a man card gets revoked for being an awesome dad and loving your little girl then who needs a stinkin' man card?

My daughter will be 9 Saturday. She was born on election day 2000. My wife was in labor but we still stopped and voted on the way to the hospital.

My 2 girls turned 9 and 7 last week. +1 on the next 9 & 7 years. Daddyhood is about to get a lot harder.
