Well, now that you've come out the closet....I walked into the Gun store a couple weeks ago and one of my old Berettas turned into a G17....I'm so ashamed.

Tried one on at the last gun show...with the finger grooves, bleh. Just did NOT fit.

Now, a Sig 226...fit a lot nicer than I thought it would. A good bit thinner than my Beretta, too.

(I've shot the Sig before, but never was able to do a side-by-side comparo...)

I'm trying to decide wheather my first handgun purchase here will be a Sig 226, 220, HK USPc in 9x19, or a USP in .45...

Bleh, decisions...

The Horror!

The True Dark Side as it relates to combat tupperware is a USP in a Man's Caliber!  Not some sissy caliber like 9 Mickey and Minnie!

Congrats!  I tried not to like Glocks, but they just kept growing on me (and flocking to me?).  What'cha gonna do?

On a related note, I have a rear sight pusher specifically for Glocks, and the front sight tool as well.  And I'd be happy to change out sights if anyone needs it done (FREE, but you supply your own sights).  I've done quite a few, it only takes takes about 10 minutes.

I have a glock in .357sig, does that qualify as a "man caliber"?

I was just giving FG a bit of grief!  He is a gentleman and a generous man! An excellent resource for information on things!  A man to be jealous of!    An great host of the Armoring Class last spring!

Nope! it after all is still the same size hole as a 9MM. I just believe in bigger holes to begin with!  Long live BFH!

[I used to hate glocks...but, after shooting a few, it only the grip I dislike]

Good selection. Glocks are fine sidearms...the grip angle and feel of them is heaven to some and hell for others. Incredible reliability and service that has proven itself time and time again.

Myself? Ahh...If only the grip angle was different, I would be inclined to buy one...fired several and love the action, but, the trigger and grip make it difficult for me to pony up the $$$ for one. (which is why I got a SA-XD9 instead)

Congrats!!!

I saw a little sparkle in your eye when you were checking out the 34 today
With a good set of fixed NS it is just about the perfect 9mm.

I'm not a fan of the subcompact, even with the mag extension it feels like too much grip is missing.
I do like the compact models though

I had always heard that Glocks were prone to issues in the 45acp model....never saw proof of this, though.

If I want a highcap 45acp, I'd be more inclined to get a hicap Kimber or Para. For DA, I think the USP45 is a dream come true....

The whole point of me picking up a 9mm is that my .45 was not allowing my elbow a chance to heal.

I'm a .45 guy... always have been and always will be. "A 9mm will most likely expand, a .45 will never shrink"

With this Glock, I can shoot all day with no effect. with my Colt I'm icing down by lunch.

There is  a nice USP F SS slide at the GS for under 600.  Then again we could wait for MyWar to go back and buy his cast off HK!

Somebody was looking at it last tme I was in there.  I'll be at GS tonight for reloading stuff, I'll check for you.

My next H&K will be a USPf 45 TACTICAL.  It would be the next gun I buy, but I'm doing some research right now on semi-auto MP5 clones, and the SBR stamp to go with it.  After that, I'll start saving for the tactical.

J- You know I still have an H&K right (the "tactical stapler")? I know, it's a 9 Minnie and Mickey.

Fedgunner - I've been shooting with you a couple times.  Doesn't matter to me if your shooting 9mm or 45acp, I do know that I want to be on your side if/when the shooting starts!

Bravo Kory!

All the counts in the real world is rounds on target!  Nothing more nothing less!  And, if FG has to make is recovery from abusing by the 45ACP.  That is why a fellow need the 625!  Wimp and woosey loads but still 45ACP.

To be honest FG and Kory I had to go in and oogle the model 34 Glock they had one with the tan or green frame in the case!  I tell you I think long and hard about going 9 just to cut the costs of shooting down a bit!  The 226 speaks to me, but then god for bid Goalie ever reads this!  I will never live it down that Glock did not feel too bad!

I might need a side of ice cream to go with the crow pie!
