The GA Gang seem to be a great bunch of guys but there's only so much to say. I don't post in here that often because my shooting preferences seem to be different than most of the GA Gang.

I know what you mean about preferences. I don't like shooting at CE anymore. If I'm going to drive that far, I'd rather going to the private range where I'm a member. Much less BS at the private range. Plus, I can shoot steal targets, shot while moving, shoot 300 yards, etc. Lots more to do. BTW, You have mail.

I'm not the show off. k9dpd was blasting the plate at 300-yards with his 16" AR and a TA11 (3.5x magnification). Hell, I was happy to hit it using my 9x scope.

I'm lucky to have a friend that owns a considerable piece of land out past Lake Oconee. We shoot often and normally burn many thousands of rounds in an outting. He's talking about BBQ/machine gun shoot when it cools off. I'll most likely have a couple of invitations to extend so I'll keep the subgunners in GA Gang in mind if gives me the OK.
The last shoot got a little crazy after a couple of Sheriff Deputies showed up thinking there was a war going on. The tried to be hard asses at first then they relaxed after the figured out we were legal. The ended up staying for near an hour, all the while they were buring our ammo. The weapons ranged from a MG-42 all the way down to a Norrell 10/22. I swear I think they liked the little Norrell better than any other weapon present. TD |

Anyone going out this Sat a.m.? I just put a forward rail on my pencil A2 and need to zero the Aimpoint. BraddD, Byte or any Cobbers IM me if you want to head up on Sat a.m as guests. I can drive. All pistols brought must be holstered! No exceptions. All rifles cased -or- unoaded, bolts back and no mags until on the firing line. |
