Has anybody got there tax stamp back for suppressor yet.
184 day and still waiting |
I think some one on here said they did. Form 4 as an individual. I have two I sent in on 6/30 and 7/10. I don't really expect to seem them untill after March of 2017.
Only person I've seen saying they got their stamp
That ^^ was me, my stamp came in on Sept 13th. A guy I know who bought the week before me picked up his two stamps the following week (week of Sept 19th). His were also filed individual form 4. I'd love to know if I was the first in the state, but I'm sure someone somewhere beat me?
My first check cashed date is May 30th, the last one I bought was cashed July 7th. It looks like they are in the first week of April right now, so maybe I'll see the first one around Christmas, but I'm sure they take the holidays off.

Congrats to those that have them, and I hate you. Hopefully we can pass the hearing protection act and remove them from the NFA. The waiting sucks.

How do you know you were approved? You call the BATFE NFA phone number with the appropriate info (serial number, trust name, dealer name), ... and ask them. Just try not to do it often so we can keep them approving forms and not answering calls. |
Thanks for that. Ours was around same time frame, so I was wondering.

Apparently this forum was the trick. Mine arrived the 18th. YHM for my 300 AAC. Woohoo!

i have a few guys that had cans they'd bought years ago that were just setting in my inventory, and they literally had their form 4s filled out and sealed in envelopes. two of those same guys sent them off THE DAY the law was signed in USPS mail and haven't gotten jack back yet.
...but... i'm seeing a few pop through now from time to time. so it won't be long in most cases for those guys that quick after the law change. |

Was bored so called ATF just for the hell of it approved yesterday

Just got mine in the mail today. Submitted 5-3-16 Form 1 as individual. Arrived in mailbox 1-3-17

Just checked on mine. One last week of April, one first week of May (submitted, not pending)... Still pending. She said generally 8 months from pending date, which puts even the April one into the end of January.
That said, I finally got around to getting all my fingerprinting/photo/post 41f stuff done for the others that have been in jail for months... What a pain. |
Got my phone call today from Dakota silencer my tax stamp is in.
may 3 to January 12 |
My theory is Septic has just lost my phone number and is keeping my cans.
With the ATF taking 8-10 months to approve, he'll have a pretty good rolling stock to play with... Including several of mine :(
Been 8 months since they cashed the check and still nothing called today they said should get my stamp in the next 2 weeks cutting it close for a 3rd week of February hog hunting trip

I just got a letter in the mail from the ATF wanting corrections done. BUT they didn't list any corrections to be done on the letter the sent Dealer is waiting to see what they get from them.

I bet he has them all in a special room where he goes to sit and stare at them while tenting his fingers. That's what I would do. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes |

Ironically, suppressors were the main forbidden fruit that I've wanted legalized as long as I can remember, but the wait is keeping me from wanting to even mess with it. I want SBR's legalizd too, but won't get one for the same reason (and all the stupid laws that come with them).
My biggest hope for legislation this hear is the HPA in washington. THAT is something that could change my gun hobby forever. |

New to the forum and been watching but not posting..apologies. 2 form 4 suppressors on trust(silencershop). Check cashed 5/8/16. Pending 5/10/16. Approved 1/6/17. Stamp received 1/24/17. Atf stamp mailer postmarked 1/19/17 to rhine group llc in ankeny. Hopefully this helps gives you a better timeline of stamps in hand

I should call next week to get the pending date. Sadly I am still at least a month out on my 6/28/16 check cashed date
I'm a 5/12 check cashed, trust, silencershop, but nothing yet.
Received mine back on 1-3-17 Form 1 as individual. 6 months on the day!

Have not had time to get started on it, still waiting on supplies. I plan on use Ti tube and endcaps and making 60 degree cones out of 17-4 Stainless. I'll post pictures of the progress when I get started.

View Quote @septic-tank I saw a thread here a few weeks ago, and was having the same thought myself. Is there any use buying a can from you, and holding off on the stamp with hopes we get something passed this year? I know the argument against it is to just do the form, pay the stamp, and then if the bill comes through then worst case scenario you're out the $250. But I am of the mindset that I'd prefer to not do any more paperwork and submit anymore finger prints than I have to. Not to mention, the $250 could be put towards an extra .22 can. |

The legislation as proposed would provide you with a tax credit, so the $200 tax stamp fee is not lost forever. With President Trump's son pushing this, I suspect it will pass as drafted. |

View Quote Haven't looked at the wording. Would that effectively make a Form 1 can a diy muzzle device with no paperwork? Just buy the parts? |
