Headed to Springfield for a week in June-was going down for a weekend for a church conference but may make a week trip out of it.
Along with the Lincoln Museum, Dana Thomas House, anything else that's a must-see? TIA. |

The Illinois State Museum downtown has some interesting Native-American exhibits. Hanging around the Capitol complex for an afternoon is very enlightening in terms of politics.
Westwoods Lodge off North Jefferson is an excellent place for food as well. Knight's Action Park is a great way to spend a warm June afternoon. Camp Lincoln has a nice military museum from all accounts. Feel free to PM me before you make the trip if you'd like a tour-guide for a day or two. I'll most likely be free for a while due to downsizing. Avoid the north/east/south-east sides after dark. |

I laughed at the thought of your church group going to Deja Vu. I haven't been to that strip club in years.
On the other hand, my gun club's CMP match is June 29. http://www.abelincolngunclub.com/sched11.htm Thought I would throw that out there, since this is a gun forum... |
