| Do we have an AZHTF recommended company for security camera installs? I bought a set of the wireless Arlo cameras and they just aren't what I was hoping for. Time to call in a pro that can do a full camera/dvr install. |
| I'm also interested in this topic. Time is not something I have a surplus of, and what 'free time' I do have I dedicate to my family. Spending a day or half a day or whatever installing cameras that may not get the job done 100%, and then having to mess with them over time to get them just right is not something I'm interested in. |

I have only heard great things about these. I would like to hear any negative feedback to save me some trouble. 1. You either have to rely on batteries (ongoing maintenance) or have an electric outlet at each camera location (limits your ability to relocate cameras). 2. Susceptibility to signal interference. 3. Limited to 5 cameras or you have to pay for a premium account. 4. Usb thumb drive (limited size, can be failure prone, and easily removed) is your local storage option. 5. No PTZ options. 6. Limited to their proprietary cameras (not particularly damage resistant and easy to tell the direction they are pointed). |

What did you not like about the Arlo cameras ? I was thinking about purchasing a few of them. The other problem I have is if the internet is down the cameras do not record any video. |
| I am interested in this also. My security guy cant seem to return emails or phone calls so he is out (Absolute Security). I need someone else who can do this. And we also don't want the plug and play WIFI cameras as they are mediocre at best if you really want security. |

I talked with Jeff at Bulwark Alarm in Phoenix and he's been great so far. I haven't seen any of their work, but he's answered all of my questions and made suggestions that I hadn't thought of yet.
I haven't made a decision but I am leaning their way. Waiting to get a quote back from Titan Alarm before I pull the trigger. |

System has been installed and so far I am beyond satisfied with results. Jeff at Bulwark Alarm was great to work with.
Ended up with these cameras. Image is clear and captures movement without any hitches. Will update with IR quality once the sun goes down. @Rizzo1318 Not sure how this will look. Pulled from phone. Attached File |

Yeah everything was ran through the walls/attic. All of the estimates I got for the same system were between $2000-2600. This company did it for $2200, but their equipment had better reviews than the others. The equipment was only about $900 of that, labor kicks the price up, a single story home will be much cheaper.
IR looks good to me! Attached File |

Heh. I had assumed that was the response I was most likely to get. Just nothing the wife and I have ever even pondered spending money on in our neck of the woods. The cool factor is definitely there, though. I'm sure I'd have some fun with it. I've caught a vandal and two thieves on camera with my system since it was installed, from two houses down and across the street... |

We have a gated and locked front door area. People can't get up to the front door unless we let them in. All our delivery guys push the packages into our gated area when they leave them as well.
I totally get it for some people, though. I've lived in the same 15 mile radius or so part of the valley my entire life now. Just never really been something I've personally felt the need for. |

Where do you folks live that you need to get this vested in a security system? Wife finally on-board with a camera system.

How long does the DVR retain video on that system? I really only need a few days, shouldn't need to look anything up beyond that. I'll let it record for a week and see how full the drive is and let you know. |

I always wanted a system just for the sake of having it. 7 years in this house and never had a problem. 2 weeks ago some kids had fun with a bb gun and all of the cars on my street lost windows. Wife finally on-board with a camera system. ![]() Quoted:
