Wild and Wooly Weekend of Shooting fun!

When: Saturday Nov 6th, and Sunday Nov 7th
Where: Okeechobee Shooting Sports

What:
Sat 9.30 am – 5pm Advanced Carbine / Pistol Class
Sat 7pm – 11pm Night / Low Light Shooting Class
Sun 9.30am – 5pm Tac Shotgun / Pistol Class

Price: $200 for first class and $100 for and additional class.


Full Info on Each Class:
Advanced Tactical Carbine / Pistol: Full Day
This class is all about getting the most from your carbine including transition to your secondary firearm. Covers: using the carbine in a dynamic environment, using angles, team tactics, stress-induced shooting and instinctive shooting, firearms safety, “fight ready” mind-set, firearm specific anomalies, using unusual shooting positions, shooting on the move, shooting from cover, and reloading techniques including speed loads and tactical reloads.

Ammunition Required: 5-600 rounds rifle plus 200 handgun minimum
Prerequisites: All students must have successfully completed our Tactical Carbine / Pistol Course or similar.
Additional Equipment: Baseball cap and sun screen (sun protection), food and drinks, elbow and knee Pads, along with clothing that will allow for work on the ground (no open top shoes or v neck tops).

Tactical Shotgun / Pistol Class: Full Day
This course reviews both the positive and negative points of using shotguns for practical real applications. Course includes firearms safety, ammunition selection, effective ranges, loading / reloading techniques, using cover, standing, kneeling and prone positions, shooting on the move, and transitioning from shotgun to pistol and pistol to shotgun.

Ammunition Required: 150 rounds of birdshot, 25 rounds of buckshot and 25 rounds of shotgun slugs plus 200 pistol rounds minimum.
Prerequisites: Students must have completed our Handgun Intro or a comparable course and be familiar with his/her shotgun of choice.
Additional Equipment: Sling, Strong side holster, mag carriers, and shell carriers. Baseball cap and sun screen (sun protection), food and drinks, elbow and knee pads, along with clothing that will allow for work on the ground (no open top shoes or v neck tops).

Night Shoot: 4 Hours
This course will be held in complete darkness. Students will be taught to use flash lights, ambient light, police flashing lights etc. to identify and engage threats. This is a pistol / carbine / shotgun course. Bring the firearm that you would expect to be using for defense at night, whether this may be at home or on the job as law enforcement. Topics covered include: moving and shooting from light to dark areas, moving and shooting from dark to light areas, moving and shooting in and around vehicles, stress-induced shooting, instinctive shooting, "fight ready" mindset, shooting from cover and reloading techniques including speed loads and tactical reloads in the dark.

Ammunition Required: 200- 300 rounds minimum
Prerequisites: Safety is paramount. All participants must be experienced shooters who are competent with their chosen firearm. This class is not to teach you the fundamentals of drawing and reloading your firearm. Students are expected to have this knowledge prior to the course to promote safety and optimal learning.

Additional Equipment: Holster and/or slings, spare magazines for pistol and rifle, spare magazine / ammo pouches, ear and eye protection, bus spray, rain gear, elbow and knee pads, baseball cap, clothing that will allow you to work on the ground.
