Hi John, My husband and I are interested in coming out to meet you at your place. I believe I am off that Sun. You mentioned that you would cook a brisket, I can bring a couple gallons of beans and an ice chest of drinking water. We live nearby, so am familier with this area. But need directions to your place. Let us know. Renee |
How old are you? I was born and raised in Liberty and lived there from 76-97. |
I graduated high school the year before dirt.
Seriously, I moved up here from LaPorte 6 years ago. I didn't grow up here. I am originally from Indiana. |
I'd love to come but I am going up to Dallas for LT's going-away party. Might as well be a funeral since he's headed back to Kali.
Give our regards to LT.
Are you going to be back on Sunday? Hey everyone, note that the shoot is on SUNDAY, not saturday as I originally thought! |
I just missed you I guess--I moved to Liberty (from Laramie, WY) in Jan. '96. |
Ok, I got the grass cut, and will be cutting 6 new targets tonight.
Shooting begins at 10. You can bring anything except 50's. I still don't have anything to stop them. Don't forget pistols. We can do them also. On the directions, it says to pull up to the end of the drive and stop. Don't do that. I cut a nice path back to the fence, and since it is nice and dry, we can drive most of the way back. We will be shooting out past where we park, so be advised you might want to pack your stuff so it is easy to carry. The walk is about 200 yds. Bring whatever you want to drink or eat, since we are out in the woods, and there aren't really any facilities nearby. IM me if you have any questions. Looking forward to this, the weather is supposed to be warm, as in the mid 90's. IM me if you have any questions. John |

Which one of you crazies is the pissed-off-looking dude in the back with the black skull cap on?
Scary. |
unfortunately I've been informed by the soon to be missus that we have things to attend to on Sunday, one of which is her Grandmothers 90th Bday, and my neices 10th Bday party... :(
Oh well, maybe sometime this century I'll be able to get eo a Texas Shoot :/ |
well iwasn't able to hang with the houston crew last night, but i'd love to attend this shooting event. 338, I'd appreciate directions so i can mingle with my fellow arfcomers, and show off my new toy. rofl!
got it, thanks... how long we plannin on shootin? |
I guess until your finger gets tired, or you run out of ammunition. I am trying to do this with as few rules and regulations as possible. I just want to have some fun. Like I told someone earlier, I have to live with codes and regulation all week. I don't have to do it on the weekend. There will be no range nazis at this shoot.
the only reason i ask is because i'm going to borrow my fathers car for the trip. longish trips in my GTI suck since i have no air conditioning. i sitll have to go to american shooting centers on saturday to make sure the AR functions properly. I'll probably jsut burn up a mag while i'm out there, but i want to make sure she's at 100% considering this is my first build. also, if anyone has a collapsable stock wrench that i can borrow on sunday i'd appreciate it! |
hmm how late you guys planning on being out there? any twilight shooting?
I might have the slimmest chance of making it out there in the evening... |
my scope mount and tacpoint finally made it in. I'll sight it in on saturday and anyone who wants to try it out will be more than welcome to.
I will bring mine. Renee |
much appreciated. |

Please IM me the directions from 59 and the beltway on South West side of town.
What time are you guys going to start this up and are we gonna cook up some hotdogs and such. We need a food list for everyone to bring something? |
Thank you sir.
Anyone wanna do a food list since we seem to be cooking out doors to celebrate the Sunset? I can bring some sausages, chips and beer. Also, for those with NFA weapons that are willing to let other people shoot them, what caliber ammo do you want people to bring so there isnt too much mooching going on... |
