I'm not going to shoot anyone. Safety first ass!

Alright, I have a question I've been getting conflicting answers on since the only two rifles I have that I would even consider being close to suitable are an SKS and 9mm CX4 storm.  The question is, would the storm be doable or end up just being depressing?

Hit more of your targets with less rounds. You'll save money.
Besides, I don't know where you shop for ammo, but my ammo costs are around $20-$30/match. And that's NOT Wolf.

Yea, it's about $30 in ammo, plus $15 to get in....I just don't have time to give up every weekend to shooting.  I went to Speed Steel last weekend, now I'll need this weekend for my other job.

Now WS4LiF ain't going.. I have no Bolt Carrier.. looks like i'm out..

I have plenty for you to borrow or buy......and it's not like I live very far away.  You can come over tonight if you want.

I'll be there, but the BAR10 will stay home.  It is not behaving well and it must stay at home.  So I'll be shooting the .22 (3)

And who's going to Rose's @ 7AM?  I'll be there...which means no Forest Park trail run for me on Saturday but I'll try to make it to the park on Friday afternoon or Sunday.

That was a fun stage and a challenge. I would like to see it again.  I was so sure he was going to use those cans on a rifle stage at 75 yards or so.  With several cases left maybe it will be this month

It's doable using the SKS.  From time to time one guy shows up and shoots with a M1 Garand.
Come out and have some fun.  Also, check your 7.62x39 ammo.  If the bullet sticks to a
magnet, it is not allowed since steel bullets damage the metal targets.  I'm no expert on 7.62x39,
but there is one variety of Wolf that uses FMJ that doesn't have a steel jacket.

I'm in! Be using the usual, 20" AR with ELCAN scope. Trying the railed handguard w/VFG for the first time.

Anarx, you can use my AR if you want to. I have extra mags, just bring .223/5.56 ammo. BSW

You will be the only one there will 22lr.

Buy some 9mm, and borrow someones Glock there.

If any one needs any 7.62, I know where there is 500 rounds for a good price.

Unlike the paper target make believe world, PRACTICAL Rifle often uses steel targets that must be moved. Anything less than a 9mm probably won't have enough power to move them and count as a hit. In fact I've seen underpowered 9mm ammunition fail. One time the guy was hitting the target over and over, barely moving it with his 9mm. He ran out of ammo before he knocked all the targets over.

Cheap Bimart 9mm like UMC and Winchester white box is proven to have enough power for most PR targets. Anything less is a crap shoot.  .45's, 10mm's, and above get extra credit for hitting the targets like hammers.

If you shot your pistol more you would have nailed them.  Expertise with .22LR pistols doesn't seem to translate to centerfire well, so practice with what you will be shooting. Sleeping in instead of going to the pistol match last Sunday won't help you either.

If you can't make it to Practical Rifle there is 600 yard shooting the following Saturday, but you have to be a TCGC member for that and have a solid 300 yard zero.
