Does any one know a bar in the Carol Stream/Wheaton/West Chicago/St. Charles area that for sure serves Johnny Walker Blue Label Scotch? How much for one drink?
I have always wanted to try it with out paying $200 a bottle. I wouldn't mind paying $10-15 for a drink, just try try it. |

Just bought me my 1st bottle of Jim Beam. Not to shabby. Is it regular white label or the black label? The black label is awesome, worth the extra money! I went with the white, will need to try the black next. Been drinking some cheap az Lord Calvert lately. I'm more of a beer drinker but like having some booze on hand when the beer runs low.

I have recently decided that I want a "nice" bottle of something for special occasions and for occasionally sipping. |

Capital Grille in Lombard. $40 (closer to a double pour tho). Costco was $170 a bottle a ways back... drink alot of scotch... blue is nectar Yes, Blue is nectar. Every once in a while Diageo. the parent company of many fine liquor brands, hosts "events". Sign up at the Striding Man Society web site. Went to one and got to sample the entire line, Red, Black, Green, Gold and Blue, for free. No sales pitch, they tell you about the history of the brand. Sign up for the 1759 club as well. That's the Guiness one. They do the same thing. 2 free pints and maybe a glass or two falls into your pocket before you leave! Picked up a bottle of Blue at duty free in Guatemala 2 weeks ago, the 2 pack of Gold and black was 1/2 price. Paid $200 for all three, plus 12 Montecristo's from Habana. But its too damm cold to sit on the porch and smoke 'em. |
