Any insight as to how long until us slobs on Mspring bellsouth DSL get the speed upgrade? I think I am on bellsouth.

Bellsouth itself will be first, then to EarthLink.

We just let Covad up theirs to 3.0Mbps for all customers they serve for free and the outlook looks like in the next 3 months our provisioned customers with the ILEC's should get the free 3.0 upgrade.

This doesn't mean that you will get 3.0 service necessarily, loop length, bridge taps and other devices could keep you exactly where you are, I'm at 1.4+ down so I may see some improvement, maybe not.

If you have our DSL you get 1.5 down and 128 up. If you are only getting 700kbps now, you'll see no improvement.

If I find out anymore info, I'll be sure to post it.

I feel sorry for you DSL users.  Comcast went to 3.0 mbps  minimum almost a year ago. I usually have a downstream of 3.6 mbps.
