State agent inspects sack lunches, forces preschoolers to purchase cafeteria food instead

Man alive! Kids in school having their lunches "inspected" and given "proper" food––not what Mom or Dad packed? Come again.

The girl’s turkey and cheese sandwich, banana, potato chips, and apple juice did not meet U.S. Department of Agriculture guidelines, according to the interpretation of the agent who was inspecting all lunch boxes in her More at Four classroom that day.

Pre-schoolers Homemade Lunch Replaced by Inspectors

Help me out here––is this some kind of joke, or is this really for real? If it is, we are all in trouble-BIG trouble.

Holy crap, that's crazy.
My oldest will stay all day and eat lunch at school next year, and we'll more than likely pack his lunch for him.

I can never remember any school food being healthy until you had a build your own salad option at my high school. Then college where the dining hall had everything to choose from. Other than that school lunch is the most unhealthy thing I've seen.

My wife has worked in the pubilc school system for 22 years. Our two sons have never spent a day in public school and never will. According to HER...and I agree.

I don't see the big deal. This isn't new.

Everyone has known for a long time exactly what public schools are. From getting expelled for bringing a can opener to school, to getting suspended for defending yourself against a bully, public schools are the devil.

One word, or rather a compound word: homeschool.

When we moved our HQ from VA to NC, we hired a slew of people.

The two people who didn't work out because they were lazy and incompetent BOTH went to work for the Hoke County School system; one as a teacher, the other as a counselor.

Sending children to a public school IS child abuse.
