I thought i saw a topic in that AR discussion forums about this but can't locate it...

If I get a pistol permit from my county sherriff, can I go to a different county with it and buy a handgun?

I ask because I live in Craven County, NC, but there is a really nice handgun in Onslow County,NC that noone else in my county has.  I would like to pick it up, but don't wanna drive all the way over there to find out they won't accept it.

NC Pistol Purchase permits are good in all 100 counties. You just can't purchase a pistol outside of the state.
