In his arguement in support of SB23, Don Perata said "It is clear that in the case of rifles, an assault weapon is a semiautomatic centerfire rifle that has one of the characteristics added in my bill, such as a vertical handgrip or a folding or telescoping stock."
Aparently he didn't realize they were creating all of these different classes of assault weapons either. It sounds like we really need to add at least one feature just to keep the liberals happy.
