Anyone else pre ordered a FN PS-90. in Hawaii? This thing is taking forever to be released. Im early in line for one and just wanted to see if anyone else got one.
The ammo is still going to be a bitch to get in Hawaii. So it may just be in the safe for a long time.
Joe at WGS may get the ammo, but not sure how about Art at Magnum?
Well any hawaii dealer heads up looking for SS196 ammo in the future.

I do want one but am "wait and see" for now. My main concern is the ammo.

Price has already increased prior to the release. They have increase to $1475 from $1425 and $1399. Impact has said that if you'd ordered at the lower price it should be locked in. However, market price may be higher in some areas due to avalibility.

It sure will turn some heads at KoKo Head.h.gif

(Remember that I work at Magnum) Word is that HPD has "asked" local dealers to not sell the ammo.  I don't know if all of them will comply or not.  If you do find someone willing to import or stock it, buy everything they have.

You mean that HPD has asked all dealers not to sell the 5.7 ammo or just the AP versions?
SS19x. The SS196 is a heavy bullet made by Honady and  actully has less V than a 223.
If dealers wont stock them i guess reloades are the route.

Point to be made.......
However, that really sucks that HPD sets policy for lawful gun rights, If its really offical that they requested that, NRA should start a lawsuit aginst such rediculous policy.
HPD CLEO seems to be the Strongest Anti Gunner in  Hawaii. Just like the  N.O.LA CLEO. I sure hope no dealer are sinking down into their propoganda. We are lawful  citizen which are very responsible gun owners. No such policy should be instituted if it not in B&W law.

Remenber HPD CLEO pushed for a complete ban for hand guns  in the 1990 &  Got the Ast Pst ban and 10 rd Pistol mag ban.
Rant OFF

Thanks darealickt for the heads up on ammo.

Im beginning to re-think not bringing my Five seveN, it would be worth it to have it here now that I know I could contribute to pissing off HPD.  I cant believe the ignorance surrounding this round and LEOs who actually believe this round is a large threat.  If I was a liberal commie/nazi I would want to ban .223 before the 5.7x28, thankfully they dont comprehend reality.

D,
IM recieved Thanks
I thinks it time for me to join the NRA. They are doing one hell of a job this past year. However HAWAII is a lost cause. Just wait till a Tsunami hits Honolulu, ill see all my families and friends flocking to my house and borrow a firearm. I'll tell them its a 14 days wait for it and tell them call HPD for help
hehhe...

Yep, You should have brought it over. Now i just cant afford one of these puppies.
Reloads seens to be the only way to get these ammo, or bring them in from the mainland. I do belive US companies will start to produce the 5.7 domesticlly after the PS90 hits the market. Hornady already has plans and Speer, Win may follow. hell even once fired SS 195 brass are for sale on the mainland. Midway USA still has 5.7 dies avaliable. and the bullet head is a standard caliber.
Anyone going to the mainland make ure to bring back a few boxes of 5.7 ammo.

Hawaii gun laws will be the main reason i want to leave this State. As of right now i rarely contribute to the economy and buy just about everything from selected retailers that does not suppres people rights. such as Starbucks, 76, Nissan, etc

VIVA  Las VEGAS,,,  NFA here I come.

I was ready to jump on the FN PS90 boat but then I thought since we are no-go SBR that kind of defeats the whole purpose of the P-90's design to begin with. Magazines are stupid expensive too. Ammo prices and availability don't bother me too much as long as the gun still serves it's purpose.

The only thing I'm looking forward to is getting my LW 5.56C-P. If that ever happens.

I am sort of anxious to see Knight's new banless and .308 line. I'm not holding my breath though.

There was a KAC rifle in magnum a month or so ago for a customer, I could go for one of those, need to feed the money tree first...

I'm talking about their new line. Paticularly their .308 carbine and URX system. I bet we'll see more at the next Shot Show.

Got pics?  If Im not mistaken, the KAC at Magnum was a .308 with 16" barrel and collapsing stock, was in a bushmaster box but lower reciever clearly marked Knights Armament Co.

I wish I could get the pics but they are all archived. I'm pretty sure KAC is only supplying prototypes of their new line to certain divisions in the military for review.
