I said everyone! No one backs out or doesn't come, if so I lock your account!

Saturday afternoon and all day on Friday & Sunday's are great times for me.

What ever happened to the indoor pistol shoot? I was up for that. Its tough for me to get time away for an afternoon of shooting that's farther away than my parent's.

Well here I go again.
I'll be out of town the next two weekends.
And I have a match on the 17th.
Any other time is good with me.
If we do a Friday, i'll not be able to make it until the afternoon.

Ok, when the date is set, if i decide to come,
Will anyone let me shoot thier guns if i bring my own ammo. I only shot a mg once. I would like that to change.

Well, there wont be much Machine Gun shooting. But you bring ammo, I'll let you shoot any of the guns I bring. I am sure the other guys will to.

I thought you have guns of your own though?

I'll be at IPSC on the 17th as well.

I've got an Aimpoint coming soon that I need to sight in. Close as possible to Montgomery works better for me (south or west of Baltimore preferably). Friday evenings are out.

EDIT- I'm out of town this weekend.

My schedule is always f-ed up. When you pick a date I will see what I can do about switching if I have to. Next week is no good, I am the on call team leader.

I am not going to the range till my AR comes in. My first AR, RRA 20" HBAR A2. When it comes in I will be going to the Hap Baker firearms range in Carroll County. I will let you all know when I am going, maybe a couple of people will be able to come teach me the ways of the AR :-)

Edited to say: I ordered the RRA 5 weeks ago, it should be in, but I know it will be longer.

I'm out of town on vaca from 2 Aug thru 10 Aug.

I suggest M4 pick a day and a range, if someone doesn't show up, we go looking for them.

Someone mentioned wanting to try out a 600 yard range. Might check out Bridgeville

No offense, but there's no way I'm going to the Eastern shore. If I spend more time in the truck than I do on the bench, it's not worthwhile. The range we normally use (at the State Park?) is borderline.

I'll be at Elk Neck range this Saturday morning (2 JUL)with 2 others. Mostly bringing ARs. 5.56mm, 9mm, 7.62x39.

I can't even SEE 600 yds.

We have 2 issues- when, and where. Maybe we should poll where people live (and shoot) to help with the where.

I live in Gaithersburg, although there are no good public ranges nearby. I'd shoot in Montomgery, Frederick, or PG county, or anyplace within about an hour drive.

Just pick a time & place - people will either make it or not. Ask F4YR about scheduling shoots - he did it for several years here in MD before going over the wire.

When you get a data I'll let you know if I can make it or not.

M4 - like Forest said, YOU have to drive the schedule.

I usually picked a couple folks I could rely on, contacted them offline and got a committment, and set the date. I had to have a few badge holders to ensure the shoot would be possible.

Then you set the date, advertise it, ask for RSVP's (which usually didn't pan out) and see what happened.

We usually pulled 8 to 12 people per shoot.

So, find a bud or two, pick a day and set'er up.

You're not demanding you're LEADING. There is a big difference.

Not everyone is a leader - and descions by comittee are usually Fudged Up anyway. Remember some people just won't commit to a time for a variety of reasons - but they will rearrange their schedules to attend a shoot.

If you really want to do this 'by committee' then set up a Poll thread and select several dates and let the people choose that way.
