Yup, when I walked by the gal with 5 billion parts for sale I couldnt find any (granted, I have no idea what they look like, so that may have been working against me).

All I bought was the infidel shirt. I was planning to buy a bunch of guat and a couple
AR receivers  but all I saw was british 5.56 and SNS lowers . I might go back tomorrow and buy  a Colt A2 but the wife is trying to talk me out of it
since I already have a Colt A2

I got myself an Infidel shirt and a couple of books. Was hoping I’d get lucky and find someone with a PTR91 receiver but no such luck. No luck finding any 30 cal ammo cans either.

Thanks Dino for brining the boomboom up to SnoCo

Somebody came in early and bought all of the 10mm ammo. There was not one fucking box left when I got there this afternoon.

Yeah, I got some HSM factory seconds for ONLY $110/500. That allowed me to pull the 99 ADCOM out of my stash, though.

Anybody want some 3800 FPS 5.56 ammo?

Umm, no . I picked up some Privi-Partiaan 55gr to try out. Think I'll run it through the same barrel that KB'd.

It was 55 gr IIRC

The 99 Adcom killed a few rifles. Bad QC.

After putting together a couple of "state of the art" M4's, I got to thinking where they came from.  Been considering a "tribute" to another time.  Ruled out just throwing $1200 to $1500 out there and buying one.  Was going to find the correct furniture and go from there.  Not necessarily with old parts, but with the old look.  Found this Original M16-A1 Colt upper, new, still in the grease, at the Monroe Fun Show saturday.  For $350 I guess my build is officially under way.

I was there late Sunday and saw a pretty nice Colt SP1 for $995 ( he dropped a quick $50 when I showed alittle interest ) Flashing some cash might have got him down another hundy.

That particular Colt was an easy 93% plus. Picking that up for $850 would be a fairly nice price. I already have an SP1 Colt so I wasn't all that interested.

Your build might run you close to $850 ?

Did the upper come w/ a Bolt carrier for the $350 price ?

I know when these uppers first hit the market a couple of years ago.  They were being shipped with the FA bolt in them.  This one was shipped later without the bolt.  Didn't matter to me, I have a bolt and carrier and etc. in stock.  I already have most of the parts to do the build.  I think I'll be spending around $600 in new money.  It won't be a SP1, but it's gonna look like one.  It will mainly be a display.  One of the things I'll be looking for is the pistol grip with the little hole in it for the sling swivel.  That's what makes these builds fun for me. I'm doing my own Retro... should have the parts here in the next week or so, but won't have the rifle done for LCR.. the receivers go off to US Anodizing as soon as I strip the upper

God, you know its bad when you have to buy retail to beat show prices...

$15 for not-so-new looking, not-in-wrap Eagles or $19 for NIW Hot Lips that I know and trust at Joes on the way home. Easy choice.
The Promags were NIW drums for $69. Hmmm, $40 for mags that work or $70 for a maybe that looks a bit funky on a non-tactical plinker. Another easy choice.

I picked up a case of Golden Tiger 7.62x39 ammo, and 5 bore brushes.

Took the wife, and a couple from her work.  Now the other husband wants an AR.

All in all a good day.

I picked up seven Wally World .223 value packs in a small town in Oregon.  No sales tax and no stink eye from the nice young lady at the counter.

Small towns rule.
