I just got my new ALS 50 BMG upper today and WOW. Does anybody know of anyplace in central Indiana ( I am in Mooresville) to get some real distance for this little rifle. 100 yards just doesn't seem fair for her.
Thanks John

Hey, congratulations on your new purchase. That's one heck of a round. I keep saying I'm going to get a 50 BMG of some sort, but keep putting it off. I personally don't know of any ranges nearby to shoot it at, but I do know that there is a lot of flat farmland in your area. Do you know anyone with a lot of private ground that you could shoot on? Sorry I couldn't be of any real help to you.

If your interested.. maybe we can work something out.  I shoot my Barrett on some private property here in west central indiana.  We're going 750 yards right now, with a secure backstop.

Just an update on where we stand now...Our range is now under about 2 feet of water.  By the time the Wabash crests it should be completely buried....I'll repost again when it's ok to get back there again.  No doubt we'll have to rebuild the berm..Crap!

Congrats on the BFG 223s! Feels like a completely different class of shooting, doesn't it...

OK..another update.  Looks like the Wabash will crest at over 27 ft.  The range is now completely underwater.  It needs to stop raining now and let the ground dry out, so that we can get equipment back there to the river to rebuild the berm/backstop.  I'm going to guess it'll be late summer or early fall.  Sorry!  I'll contact again when we're ready.  In the mean time let me know if you come up with anywhere to shoot.  I'm short a good range for a little while now.
