Police ID suspect in fatal hit-run at bus stop

Police are looking for a 23-year-old man in connection with a fatal hit-and-run Tuesday in which bystanders looted the victim’s groceries at a Mesa bus stop.

Bystanders steal groceries from hit-run victim

Police said Alan Ricardo Flores-Ocon was at the wheel of a dark GMC truck that went out of control as it turned west onto Main Street from Horne and struck a man who was standing at a bus stop with sacks of groceries.

The collision knocked the victim about 30 feet and mangled the metal bench.

Boro Mitrovich was also standing at the bus stop but was able to dive out of the way. The truck fled the scene and was found at 144 N. Mesa Drive.

Police have yet to identify the man who was killed, said Detective Steve Berry.

Berry said witnesses reported that bystanders were picking up the man’s groceries instead of rendering aid.

The driver was Alan Ricardo Flores-Ocon who neighbors say had "just moved in":

UPDATE: The man who was run over was not a US Citizen - he was a Mexican national.

Still no word about the guy who did the hit-and-run.

Go figure the person who killed Officer Nick Erfle from Phoenix PD was an illegal alien. I can tell you that for a four month period over 10,000 were getting deported in the Tucson Sector from Border Patrol every month. It's not illegal immigration, it's Illegal Invasion!!

But illegals aren't bad people. They just want to come here and have jobs that American's don't want. Only 1 in a million are criminals and even then they were just convicted of petty crimes. What's the harm? They all have the highest coverage on their car insurance, they pay into social security/ taxes, and they do lots of volunteer work at local organizations. Oh wait, those are the stats for the law enforcement officers that get sued by these guys because they did something stupid and were shot at by LEO's. My bad...
