MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A 31-year-old Cumberland man is awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to a federal charge recently in U.S. District Court.

William Michael Hogan pleaded guilty to one count of an indictment charging him with engaging in the business of selling firearms without a license at LB’s Pawn & Guns in Romney, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Northern District of West Virginia.

Hogan, who appeared before Magistrate Judge David J. Joel on May 22, faces a maximum sentence of five years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Paul T. Camiletti. The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
