Greetings all!
Just a little bit about myself, born and raised in western MD. Washington county area. Growing up I wanted to be a MD state trooper but when my step dad offered me a nice paying H VAC job , my taste for money pulled me away from my dream of being a cop. I eventually decided to get back on track and I joined the Air force as a Security forces Officer (MP). I fulfilled my term and ultimately decided that being a police officer might not be whats best for me lol. Now I work as a manager for a building supply company in DC, that is until I hit the lottery ;) . Never the less I've always had an admiration, and respect for firearms, my time in the militarywas just a swift kick in the rear to start my collection and my hobby. I'm looking forward to meeting you all and possibly making some new friends along the way. thanks, and as always molon labe! |

Just a question for you and those in the area, do you shoot mostly on private land? Izaak Walton or even head across the river? Not a bad area for shooting but I'm trying to get into 500 plus yards and I only have access to around 200. |

I do all of my long range stuff at my families WV property. |

Aloha From Southern MD. Moved back here from Hawaii after retiring from the Navy to get a job. Last year during the big push to get the evil guns before the ban I bought a bunch of AR's and wonder why I went all these years without one of my own.

Hello from MoCo. Gburg to be exact.I have another intro somewhere within so sorry about the dupe.
Born and raised in Md. PCGCo then on to MoCo. I am an avid deer and turkey hunter and have been pursuing them for 40 years. Lately have been getting more into shooting then in the past. I bought my first AR some 20+ years ago and have enjoyed building and customizing them ever since. I can be a bit of a sarcastic smart a$$ but, please don't take offense. I don't mean any... |

New here, think this is the spot for the intro !!!??? Baltimore city around Morgan State !!!

I'm from Harford County and have been shooting my entire life. I have been a LEO for 28 years in Baltimore City and am getting ready to start shooting competitively. I am in the process of building my first AR which should be complete as soon as the last parts arrive. I love this site and the wealth of information it provides and look forward to learning as I go.

I'm going to start with IDPA and USPSA and then move into 3 gun. I don't have any real trigger time with the AR yet and the little bit I did have got me hooked.

Here is the link to the page on what is banned in the state: http://mdsp.maryland.gov/Organization/Pages/CriminalInvestigationBureau/LicensingDivision/Firearms/FirearmSearch.aspx For handguns, they have to be on the "roster" of approved guns published by the state police. http://mdsp.maryland.gov/Organization/Pages/CriminalInvestigationBureau/LicensingDivision/HandgunRoster.aspx |

Not a new member, but I am checking in.
Most of my life-long friends aren't gun people, and the only one who is black rifle guy is a liberal douchebag. They all see it as a novelty. These times suck, and I am tired of most of the people I know. |
