There's a damn lake in the parking lot at my shop.

It's seriously over a foot deep.  I'm thinking about stocking it.

59th ave and Bell.

You won't need a 4x4 though.  My 2wd Silverado navigates it just fine.

Right, you'd be better off hitting the Cabela's in town since it's more closer than me an all. I heard they have oars on sale

It's not everyday you see a guy throw himself out of his own thread for his religion.

Alphabravo - dang!  You win!   You got a snorkel or scuba gear with you just in case?     "To the life rafts! Everyman for himself!!!"

The urban trail here in FLG was really flooded the other day.  I got a good chuckle out of watching the dirty hippies in sandals trying to avoid the water/mud puddles.  The hot hippy chicks with their soaking wet t-shirts was something else!

That was from about 15 minutes of rain.

Each of the last two years we've had one big rainfall that actually flooded the backyard and was lapping at the back door. Haven't had one yet this year, have to wait and see.

The street in front of my house floods "bank-to-bank" and runs that way for about an hour when we have these big rain cells come over. It's done that 3 times in the last 3 weeks. In the past, I've seen a 2 x 4 float past my house. Yesterday it was a tire.....followed by someone's large plastic trash 'can'.

I gotta keep a fishin' pole handy next time.

I lived in Snottsdale from '68 to '73.... I remember some flooding that was over the seat of my 10-speed in the neighborhoods near the Indian School rd canals! Forget what year, though. Had to be around '71 or '72, I was in 7th or 8th grade.

That looked a trifle moist...

Seriously, the ONLY thing I don't like about my home state is not one road is engineered for rainfall.

First it's not enough rain, now it's too much rain . . . . when will you people be satisfied?!

As for me, I don't mind it one bit. Bring it on!

What we need is snow. Heavy rain just runs off into the rivers. It's the slow trickle of snowmelt that replenishes the aquifers.
