Start London (A4) Finish Pont Abraham (A48) Passes Hounslow, Heathrow , Slough, Maidenhead, Reading, Newbury, Swindon, Chippenham, Bristol, Newport, Cardiff, Bridgend, Port Talbot, Swansea Length 193 miles M5 Motorway Start Birmingham (M6) Finish Exeter (A38) Passes West Bromwich, Bromsgrove, Worcester, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Bristol, Weston-Super-Mare, Bridgwater, Taunton Length 166 miles Therefore the difference is 27 miles or about 10 minutes 45 seconds in an M3 at top restricted speed just to confuse things.
