Rain, sweet rain

Just got a call from Texas where it's in the 90s and 100 percent humidity. The air conditioners are running at full speed. Friends from Sreveport are otw there to avoid flooding. I didn't have the heart to tell them my patio door was open and a cool wind was pushing 60s air throught the house. A local bud just got back from mountain climbing with ice axes?! Iiiiiiii like it.

The rain has already rolled through here, the wind gusts gave plenty of warning that the rain was coming soon.

Rain damn it, rain!

I hunted on private land of logging company for bear. Saw three, shot one (30-06, through the lungs) and spent whole day looking for it. Tough SOB. Never did find him, so pissed, just livid! Went back next week with larger caliber gun and it was "closed due to extreme fire danger"! Now they will not reopen it until it rains for few days.
Rain! I want to get me a bear this year!

What was the deal?

You are the second guy that I have heard of doing that on Private Logging land in the last 3 weeks...

I see em, I just have not been able to get off a shot that I felt would be a good bet...

Next time I use my 375 H&H magnum. I just neet rain so I can go back up there while berry bushes still have berries on them.
